Ira Levy is an associate managing director in the Cyber Data and Resilience practice at Kroll where he leads the global services lines of M&A, advisory and frameworks. He leverages more than 25 years of experience in both the public and private information technology sector, working within telecommunications, software development, managed service providers, government and nonprofits.

Prior to joining Kroll, Levy served as the executive director of the administrative modernization program at the University of Maryland. Before that, he held the title of chief operating officer at Affiniti, a national telecommunications and managed services company where he brought multiple ML based security service products to market. Additionally, he previously served as chief information officer at Howard County Government in Maryland.

Levy’s notable achievements include bringing five technology products to market including a network security solution later acquired by a national managed services company. Additionally, Levy led the deployment of the One Maryland Inter-County Broadband Network (ICBN), which received a $115 million federal grant and was acknowledged by the White House for innovation and impact. Levy has also participated in numerous associations including the University of Maryland’s Presidential 5G/6G Advisory committee, as well as serving as a board member of the cybersecurity program at Keiser University, Mid-Atlantic CIO Forum, NACO, NATOA’s CIO Advisory Council, the Howard County Tech Council, Digital Governing Communities, the Howard County Public School System Technology Vision committee, the Howard Community College Commission for the Future and as a founding board member of the Howard County Tech Council. 

Further, Levy was named the HTC Technology Advocate of the Year, as well as the Public-Sector CIO of the Year by The Tech Council of Maryland. Levy was later named Smart CIO by SmartCEO magazine for his efforts addressing problems with innovative solutions and forging new partnerships to achieve significant cost savings.
